Focaccia for Breakfast & Lunch today~
I’ve been making these alot lately, tossing in strange toppings with the basic plain Focaccia recipe by Sawatans~ Its absolutely YUMMY! even more so because i’m learning not to be afraid of olive oil.
Smells heavenly ![]()
hehe, this time however, i made them into smaller thingies.

also also~ besides that…i think that there might have been a parade here recently on Saturday?

there were tons of people and a marching band~! but, by the time i managed to suck it up and dangle out the window with the camera only this one guy was still there (^-^);>

Lunching at Everyman’s bistro~

it has been awhile since i was last there…and all i settled for was pizza…
BUT!
the pizza was good~! mushroom, garlic and goat cheese (^____^)b yummy! the slice was reasonably sized and PACKED with goat’s cheese~! the other dish is what we now know was VERY EXPENSIVE economy rice…it’s a chicken oyster-sauce stir fry that cost £8-something!
yesh….definitely the most expensive economy rice i’ve come across (=_=);
then, the moment i was waiting for….DESSERT!
tada~~~ \(^-^)/

a peach frangipane ‘tart’ (well, it’s in a ramekin so there’s no crust of course…) instead, it came with biscuit fingers~

the peach was soooooo sweet that i forgot i absolutely DESPISE peach. xD to be honest, i didn’t know what the dessert was because i just picked out the best looking one at the counter (^-^);> the custard beneath the peach was really nice too~! (^-^)b really light and creamy. i just found myself eating it with my eyes closed because i have this -thing- with custard. i think it might be the colour that gets me feeling puke-y because it reminds me of butter!
anyhoo~ back to the bistro…

pretty, no?
we usually sit at the sofa over in the back though (^___^)
…
eventually, when i got home around dinner time, i was faced with the broken toaster & my bagel.
toaster….bagel…BROKEN toaster! (T____T) *weeps*
so~ i heated a pan and just lightly toasted it there. burnt it a little but it works…hahaha…

since the weather was uncharacteristically splendid last saturday, i decided to take the tamron lens for a test drive at the bombed out church since i had spotted some hydrangea bushes there the other day~!

i don’t particularly like bugs, but admittedly, they are interesting to look at through the lens…kinda starting to understand what the producers and animators of “a bugs life” must have felt now.
anyhoo~ i just found a programme that turns your shots into polariods! it’s one of those really cute and nice things to have on your desktop with an easy drag and drop function.
my only gripe with it is that you can’t select the portion of the photo you want to have cropped. it auto-selects the center of the shot (by default at least)

well, more fiddling to be done with the programme but…![]()
i’m off to the library for now~

“YAY!”
is what i should be saying because one lecture has been cancelled tomorrow…but, it’s kinda ironic because i actually sorta like that module…plus, i’ve nothing to gain from not going to class…it just gives me more time to panic!
i want tuesday to just WHOOSH by so i won’t know even if i’ve made a fool of myself in BOTH the presentations.

Tumra: the amazing flying fishie~

: Pipe Dreams :
i fear my brain and tummy are in cahoots now…one went all gurgle-y yesterday, and the other’s all bunkum today. hah! preparing for 2 presentations and an essay really messes with you. but maybe that’s all i got…still too early to throw in the towel though~ As long as i finish one today, i will have 2 days to complete the other one. This is then followed by the self-imposed 5-day deadline for the essay so i can finally BEGIN looking at the human osteology and start chewing over the possible topics for the historical text one.
you know…sometimes i think doing ok is better then doing well. as ironic as it sounds, my own expectations of myself kills my motivation.
make sense?
figured.
(p/s: no fish were harmed in the production of this entry…though, i seem to be craving some salmon now
)
